  • I have performed a number of water tests and nitrate is now 1 and phosphate is zero ppb on the Hanna phosphorus Ulr.
    corals look well with good extension at night and growth.

    I am not dosing any zeostart or other carbon source at the moment, just skimming and bak/biomate.

    What is the purpose of biomate?

    I already use zeobak and sponge power. I will be adding start but have cyano at the moment so I am not adding this at the moment to avoid making it worse.

    i have a basket of filter media and was considering adding the zeolite media near one of my sump baffles.

    Thank you.

    asbi understand the new generation is a full spectrum bulb so I swap out one of my blue bulbs with this and see how it looks. The is I need lighter still I can swap another for my actinic.

    I run an 8 bulb t5 unit with 4x blue plus, 2 x coral plus, 1 purple and 1 actinic. It’s pretty light and not extremely blue, pic attached.
