  • Macro lens for Nikon D70

I have read a few reviews on this lens and they state the optics are as good as the Nikor micro lens. Any opinions or feed back? Looking to pick up a good used macro lens. I've found this lens for a little over 200 bucks.

I have the same lens, it is very good, my knowledge of phtography i snot great so it took me a while to get some good shots with it, to get good cloesup you will need tripiod and a high f stop.

    The site is quite helpful

Thanks for the input Kyvarn. I have the tripod, but very limited photography skills/knowledge. That's whats nice about digital, Take all the pics you want, they don't cost anything. Thanks for the link, I bookmarked it.

Thanks Ron. I am also looking at the Tokino 100mm AT-X pro macro lens. The downside to this lens is 1:2 magnification without the "macro ring". Seems a macro lens, shouldn't need a separate attachment for close up shots. Seems all 3 lenses have good reviews, now I just have to decide. This will be my first true macro lens so having the very best isn't necessarily my #1 priority.
