I like the look of the trimless tanks. Does anyone know if they are as structurally sound as a tank w/ trim or euro bracing? Thanks for the pics Edward, always nice to see what others are doing and help feed the imagination for future projects.

I was wondering about the open top style too. How come we can't do that here. We always here there has to be cross braces, euro bracing or a steel frame around the whole thing.

Madison, maybe we are overprotective and dont realize we can do this to our tanks. One thing I do notice that is different is the side black lines on each corner. Could this be steel? I've alway noticed that on these open tops.

Edward, those types of corners remind of the early 70"s where the steel end-strips were replace with the black plastic trim. These were rapidly replaced by the "all-glass" tanks. Bob

Edward, I believe Alexander's has the black trim reinforcement as does many European glass tanks. Bob

Alexander can you confirm this? I know that they use black silicone too.. so it can be misleading with pictures.
