Isnt that thing not reef safe aquarist.??? It will fer shure chew some corals eventually...errr......??
Proud owner of an Elegance Coral "that lived". (It is thriving whith long tentacle tips...purchased in January 2005.) It has white tentacle tips, I beleive this has something to do with ones that will typically live due to the collection site.

Well I guess it depends on what the reef has in it
Zoanthids are toast as soon as they hit the sand/rock. Softies ummm, I dunno. She may nip 'em, but I do not have any. Never has bothered any of the LPS or SPS since day one. I got her when she was about 1 1/2" and she is about 4 1/2"-5" now. I have a pair of cleaner shrimp that are ok. She even lets them jump on from time to time wich I would not expect from this species. I tried to add a few peppermints about 6 months ago and she and my neon dottyback made a meal of them before the were able to find a safe place. So I guess 100% reef safe, No.

edit: Oh yeah, I have an anemone as well and she never touched it either.

I had kept Queen Angel about a year in my SPS tank. He did not touch
any SPS and shrimps, but he started nipping when I put in my new Staghorn.
so I gave him to my friend in my reef club.
I think though he does not nip it now, It has enough possibility to nip SPSs
                  someday..

Thanks for the kind words all. I do understand that this type of angel usually does not do well in a reef tank. I was fullay aware of that when I put her in the tank. That is just one of the sacrifices I am willing to take. If she nips here and there down the road, no big deal. I can live with it. I have found that they are usually not detrimental to SPS corals and a nip here or there is not going to kill the coral.
