    Figured this would be a good spot for this thread. A person here in dallas/ft worth is claiming that a frag that HE WITNESSED WITH HIS OWN EYES CUT turned from the pictured cali tortuosa on the left to the coral on the right.

    Is this possible? I say it isn't. Look at the coralite structure and pattern. Just doesn't make any sense. No matter what the flow/lighting in a tank, coralites are coralites and they dont change within a species.

    Correct me if i'm wrong here PLEASE.

      I'd have to agree 100% with you Steve
      265 gallon SPS tank. Bubble King 300 Internal, MRC CR-6 Calc Reactor. 3 400 watt 20k Helios. 90 gallon Frag tank plumbed into main display.

                      From that picture I would hard pressed to make my original comment. IMO when trying to ID a coral we would be better served looking at black and white pictures.
