Is this a growth form?

Have no idea what it is but the growth on the tips seems much different than the rest.
Is this normal growth or do you think the tips were broken off and this is the over-growth.
I just got it yesterday so I don't know the history.

Bob... I kinda agree, the polyps are completely different on those tips.
