I was just at Tong's today and they had a baby goldflake - about the size of a silver dollar. I was just about to buy it, but i heard they are about 50/50 on being reef safe.

Talking about reef safe angels, Coral Oasis has a huge Conspiculatus Angel in their reef tank. Talking about playing with fire...

Nick, not shy at all...about 4"

Reefsafe....I dunno. It was in DaveB's frag tank and didn't kill anything.

Next acquisitions: a couple small regals and then the coup will be a conspic. Then I'll see what I can keep in the tank in terms of inverts/corals....
Dave has also mentioned Wrought Iron B'flies to me....

Oh and here is some data per Scott Michael:
Central Pacific Distribution (Caroline, Gilbert, Phoenix, Cook and Line Islands)
          "Fairly Durable"
Small Adults are good, Juvis not so good
          Juvis look like Flagfins
Scott Michael states that large adults are fairly destructive to reefs.

Sounds good Chuck. The conspic will be a nice addition i think. how many regals are you going to try? you should see if you can get 2 females and 1 male. that would be a nice trio to wacth.

you arent calling it a day after the conspic are you? no more fish after that?

            Nick

P.S. you might want to look into a small school or trio of pryamid butterflies. i am thinking about getting a pair myself. they are totally reef safe from what i have read. not that much $$$, but not common at all. it seems like no one has them. the only person i know that has on is copps on RC he has a male and female.

Nick, this is the current "to be added" list:
              2 wrought iron butterflies
2-3 regal angels (gotta be runts)
              Conspic Angel
A really nice true percula pair
              pipefish and leopard wrasses

On the I might think about it list:
              blonde naso vs vlamingi
              crosshatch trigger pair

                        Vince, Kim,

he's a beauty! A friend keep one in his big reef for a couple of years until he sold it on. Never had any problems with him.

I'm a bit unclear what people expect when they ask; is it reef safe? I have always had angels in my reef with great results. Sometimes they take a nip hear or there, but with SPS I would consider them generally as safe as you need in a healthy reef aquarium. I do not have any LPS, so I cannot report there.

                            Thanks Jamie
I have 3 angels in my SPS tank, Joculator,Goldflake and Emperor angel.
Joculator never touch SPS, and other two angels..I can not tell you exactly.
Definately they take a nip sometime 2~3 in a week but I don't think they attack the poly themselves.Seeing the part they nip,I found some pod and
                            tiny tubeworm.
Sometimes they nip when new SPS are come I think it is just for curiosity..
but I can not tell you exactly it is true or not..
I have a LPS (OCtopus) but they do not touch at all

One Thing is Clear I do not lose SPS because of my angels

I feed nori-type algae twice a day, all fish seem to like it, except the coral watcher/hawkfish. My P. xanthometapon and Siganus corallinus love playing tug-o-war with a piece, while the A. leucosternon snaps up all the tid bits that go flying. All of these fish show a strong preference for nori-type algaes, even the damsels. I get the impression the game is just as important for these large fish as the food itself.

Apolemichthys species have always been high on my list and I've kept A. trimaculatus, A. xanthurus, A. xanthotis and still am on the look-out for A. xanthopunctatus, although there are a couple of other members of this genus I would simply love to at least see!
