  • Power Tools are DANGEROUS

Well, my stand is finally finished. I finally got off my ass, used Dave B's hole saw kit and got myself a jigsaw. WOOHEE jigsaws are sharp. Came close a few times. Anyways....tank delivery FRIDAY!

Chuck one thing i forgot to do was over size the holes to make them big enough to get your hands in there to tighten the bulkheads.... espically if your bulkheads are not the circle ones and are the octagon ones that i got...

just wanted to give you a heads up incase you need to redrill before you get the tank on the stand,

i had to pull the tank off to drill bigger holes, and it sucked!

I way oversized 'em for two reasons. One like you said, so you can tighten the bulkheads and two for the reason Heinz cited--just in case they're a little off. I used a real template to drill the holes. Rolled some butcher paper over the bottom of the tank and traced the holes.
