  • Which TV???

I think it is about time to upgrade the TV in the bedroom. There are a couple of things that this thing has to have, but other than that, I need some suggestions on brands and personal experiences. The tv needs to be less than 40" and it must be able to mount on the wall. HD compatible would be nice, but is not necessary as it would require me to get another cablebox

no room for that - from what I have seen, in order to fit on the wall, it will have to be either plasma or lcd

Go LCD.... There are many great ones out.. If you could wait until August you will get the best deal though because 2006 models come out in August like cars... Plasma absolutley suck.. You can burn an image in the plasma but can't do it in DLP ot LCD. Plus LCD life is something crazy like 50000 hrs... The bulb will not last that long but you can change the bulb yourself also..

PLASMA are a JOKE.. Do yourself a favor and do not get one.. Rem the old commercial showing them hanging one on the ceiling. That is not true it can not be done. You will ruin a plasma TV doing so. Also the life of a LCD compared to plasma is 10-1... There are many good brands.. Just make sure it has a decent contrast ratio.

I've been looking at this since. My Mitsubishi is almost 10 years old. We have a local shop in our city and they deliver AND SET IT UP and match any walk-in store price within 90 miles. Heck, I'd pay more not to have to mess with all the wires behind the entertainment center.

Yeah I need some opinions as well. I need a set for the den (it is going into an entertainment center) and a small hanging unit for the gym. Thinking LCD for that one.

                          BK400ext
RD12 return, 2 RD12 closed loop, wavebox with extension
                          MRC kalkmixer

I got an HLP6163 - 61" - I love it!!! But man, just looking at it- the prices have come down quite a bit - oh well that is to be expected...

If the DLP came as a flat screen or something that I could mount on the wall, I would definitely buy another!!!

The Wegas are very nice - for me it came down to a Wega and a Samsung, but in the end it was Samsung - I think they have a better picture, and you can't beat the price!
