Ok, I've decided to remove my old DSB and replace it w/ starboard. Should I just remove the dsb on one saturday and get it over with? Or, remove little sand everyweek for about 3 months?

Do it in one hit.
Here's how I pulled mine:-
Got a bunch of plastic tubs & a powerhead each.
Siphoned tank water into them and put the corals & fish in.
Siphoned the rest of the tank water really carefully down to nearly the bottom, taking care not to suck any crud from the DSB out.
Shovelled out the DSB and remaining water.
Cleaned the tank.
Replaced rocks, coral, fish, and tank water, plus some new water to make up for the DSB which was removed.
No ill effects on the livestock at all, everything straight back to normal.

Alastair, when you removed your LS, did you initially have an increase in nutrients? Then a wk. later, much less? I bring this up for Naka, as I suspect his zeo-doses for awhile will remain the same, then a wk. or two later, may need to be decreased, to prevent zeo-excess.
