  • Rocks Exposed?

well i did my first change out i upped the rocks to 2 liters and my reactor cycles 3 on 3 off, so it just went off at 9 so about 1 hour ago and i went to look right now and the rocks are already exposed alittle i would say just barley they are exposed.

the output of the reactor is submereged so i dont knwo why its draining, but it is and it drained all the way down to the media in about 1 hour.

so should i leave the filter ON for 24 hours until Madison gets a chance to make a piece to help stop this?

or will the rocks be fine, i mean they are barely exposed. but who knows in another 2 hours how far it will go down, i would have to wait till 12 to see i go to bed at around 11 so i will check it at 11, but i dont know if it will go down.

its weird when i had 1.5 liters of media it took a good 3 hours to get the water level where its at now. so it took 1 hour to reach the what would have taken 3 hours with the 1.5 liters of media.

anyhow do you guys see a problem with the stones being exposed?

    what should i do? anythoughts?

    thanks!

    Nick

      OK VERY weird here!

when you unplug the reactor it starts to drain INSTANTLY i mean within 3 mintues the water level is down to the rocks! its like almost instantly!

then the rocks are exposed i woudl say the top 1/2" of rocks are exposed!

so i have turned the reactor on 24/7 right now so the rocks wont be exposed! i am wondering what i should do?

i WANT to run it 3 on 3 off to get the most out of the PO4 reduction, what should i do?

      thanks!

I sent you a PM but I agree, run it 24/7. I'll make you a piece next week and we'll see if that fixes the problem.
