  • Zeo Magnesium, Stronium

Any different for Zeo magnesium, stronium as compared to other brand?
When should we use it? How often? Daily?

Hi Stanley, I'm not exactly sure of your question, but I'll give it a spin With ZEOvit method, extra Sr. dosing is not helpful & potentially detrimental. Our WC's & Ca Rx[if using aragonite] provide all the Sr. our corals can use. I personally am using GroTech's Pro-Mag granule in my Ca Rx with good Mg levels. Alexander uses Korallen-Zucht's Mg in his Rx also with NSW levels. Use about 10-15% of the Rx's vol. with the Mg granules. Bob

      Oh, Bob,

I just bought 2 bottles of magnesium and stronium each from my dealer. They are from zeovit manufacturer. Are they part of the zeovit phases or are they just ordinary addictives as compared to those TP or kent marine?

Stanley, sorry for answering Bobs question

Both are similar additives which are offered by other manufacturers also. I did not see any improvement by dosing strontium so I stopped its usage 3 years ago. Most of the synthetic salt mixes contain strontium so if you do regular water changes no extra dosage is necessary.

Instead of liquid Mg I use Mg granulate with my CaCO2 reactor, but if you slow change the levels, a liquid product should also work fine.

Both are not a component of the system.
