    Welcome Home1800 to ZeoVit.Com

I feel guilty because I don't know how to reduce silicates. I also don't know if the ZeoVit system helps in reducing silicates, but it's usually caused by "extra" conditions/substances. Initial Thoughts: What is the quality of your water use

I use RODI water instead of fish tank.
I wonder if it's true that high silicates often cause hair moss in my aquarium.

        Welcome.

please post you tank information from the sticky above

and also how long you have been tank been running and what Zeovit product you are using.

you are asking 2 questions which might be related , and NOT related.

        - Silicate
        - algae on rock

Question - was silicate measured from a icp test ??

silicate can come from ur rock, sand, and water.
        some people will dose silicate.

Rodi - deionization filter to remove silicate from water supply is Anion Resin

        Resin types
        Anion Resin
        Cation Resin
        Mixed ( A+C )

        Regards

My tank is 30gallon, the tank is 2 years old
I didn't check the ICP, I feel that when the silicate is high, it's a pool of hair moss.
I used fauna power phos before and the silicate and moss disappeared, is there any substance that reduces silicate, I want to use a system to avoid the hassle.
my english is not good sorry

zeo they don't have any systematic information to know which substances reduce silicate or not.

I feel my tank, because twice I bought silicate reducer, the hair moss disappeared, when we saw it again we thought it was silicate
Maybe what I'm saying is vague, but it's what I've observed

The kind of hair moss you describe, can you provide a picture of their appearance, and also please fill in more information about your tank, it may be helpful.
