  • barnicles living in coral?

I have a coral that has an organism living in it. They have a white feather like thing that extends and retracts. There are like five in it. Is this ok or is it a problem? Thanks

Hi Paul, not uncommon on Acroporas. Due to the mucus accumulation surrounding them, the nearby coralites may become darkened to denuded. Bob

      Blue Barnacle

This is a Blue Barnacle in a Leptasrea, a real bonus.

      Actual size 3/16"

No, Paul, they're calcareously home-bound, Bob
