Lately I've been noticing that my acro tissue has been dieing and a hard white rugged like worm thing has been growing over the dead acro spots. Can anyone ID this thing and tell me if this is a dangerous threat to other corals?

looks like barnacles. is this killing your corals? usually they are harmless so it might be something else. -
I would think it was killing my corals because when I first purchased this frag I only saw the feather thing that came out of it but then it slowly began to die off in the back, then it stopped for 1 month and recently it began to die again only this time it was quicker than before, but not rapid. Has this happened to anyone else before?Comment
