  • Here we Go...

Ok, so today my wonderful husband finished building my ZEOvit reactor and we have it going. I am sooo happy!!!

I have the break down of how fast to run it and when to change so far, but I am confused on one thing.
I was told to dose the ZeoStart2 "in front of the Zeo reactor pump while it is switched on".
The problem is that I have a gravity feed so there is no way to do this unless I modify my plumming.

Any ideas on this? Can I dose all other additives in my tank directly? Just want to make sure I start out on the right path...

Hi Iffer, isn't he just the best guy a girl could have? Dose Bak/Food?Start2 into the gravity feed flow when the zeo-filter is cycled "on", as you want the highest zeo-component concentrations to reach the filter first. Same with the zeo-supplements[AAHC/C-V, etc]. Dose these directly into your display tank so the corals have "first pass" at their highest concentrations. Bob

OK, so now the blond is going to show...
So I should try to find a way to dose the Zeobak,ZEOstart2, and the Zeofood7 into the gravity feed line directly. Can I dose them all at the same time/Together? Then any other things that I dose after this should be in the display? I don't have any others right now except for Iron that they gave me at MACNA. I don't even know if I should be dosing this right now or not?!

Just want to get this straight. I have my reactor on a split line from upstairs, so this is not soo easy to do, but I will find away. Just don't want to put my husband through anymore work than needed.

Yea, Iffer, I understand, my wife is a blonde, who demonstrated why there's blonde jokes. At the local grocery yesterday, there was a deal that if you bought two lemons, you received one free. I asked her what % the "free" one represented--she quickly answered "33 1/3%" :crap:

One can dose Bak, Food, or Start2 in no particular order, one right after the other. Just don't mix them together in a common vessel before dosing. Can you dose the zeo-components[Bak, Food, Start2] directly into your tank overflow. If the overflow partially drains into the gravity feed, even though some of the overflow is split, it may be the best way to dose these.

At this point, Iffer, just dose the basic 4, but you may wish to consider AAHC & C-V supplements for coral color, growth & health. Others like iron, PIF, Spurs can wait until the nutrients have been lowered more completely.Bob

Thanks again Bob for being so informative and prompt! This forum would be lost without you, at least one blond would be!!!

Yes, I can dose into my overflow, but my husband (did I mention he is WONDERFUL!!!) said that he will drill me a hole in the feed pipe to my reactor so I can dose directly into it. That should work!!!

Is the price for ZEOvit a set price across the board, or is it subject to the dealers. I will be needing some items soon,(I like to be prepared!!!) and have not ever ordered from anyone yet. I purchased all of my stuff so far at MACNA. Someone near NH?

Hi Iffer, all zeo-dealers offer the same price on the zeo-products. Check out Captive Oceans .com for the dealer nearest to you. Bob
