Hi Rich welcome back with the ZEOvit method, the parameters are similar to NSW levels: Ca>400<450/Mg>1200<1400/KH 6-8 & narrowly stable/salinity 1.023-26 & stable. Plz. reduce your KH very gradually over the next 1-2wks. Do so slowly, so there's no added stress to your corals. Once the parms are stable & dialed-in with your CR then begin ZEOvit. For your system, I recommend the following:

1)place 1 Cup carbon in a filter bag, passively, in your sump, kneaded 3-4 x's/wk & exchanged monthly.
2)place 1 ltr. zeolites in a zeo-filter with the flow rate ~400 l/h. A little more or less is fine, but be on spot as possible. Cycle the zeo-filter on & off at 3 hr. intervals being sure the stones remain submerged while the filter is "off" You may need a inline check-valve between the zeo-filter & pump to accomplish no back-siphoning. Clean the stones 1-2x's/day when it's "on" & exchange these every 6wks.
3)dose 3 drops Bak & Food7 daily for 2wks, then dose 4 drops each 2x's/wk. Turn off your skimmer for 60min. after dosing these & dose these near the filter pump when it's "on". ZeoBak[and Coral-Vitalizer] is refrigerated.
4)dose .5ml Start2 2x's/day near the zeo-filter pump when it's "on". It is not necessary to turn off the skimmer when just dosing Start2.
5)optional but recommended: dose 3-5 drops AAHC & 8-12 drops C-V daily, directly into the display tank. Post up in 6wks. for new dosages for your system, & ask questions when necessary, Bob

Trying again, plaese give dose levels

Just about to try again with Zeovit. First time I tried it I lost a lot of corals so I hope this time is better. I have added a calcium reactor to get all params more stable.

Can you give me the best dose for my set-up. I would like to start slow and build up to full amounts as I know tank is running fine and only problem is high nitrate and poor coral color.

    1. Gross water volume of your complete system (incl. sump etc.) 120 Imp G
    2. Net water volume (incl. sump etc.) 90 Imp G
    3. Are you using a CaCO2 reactor or other technique. Ca Reactor
    4. Are you using a PO4 reactor (how long, how long ago, etc.)Yes with Rowa for 12 Months
    5. Are you using Ozone. No
    6. Are you using UV. No
    7. What skimmer are you using (type, rated water volume). APF600
    8. What are your actual PO4 and NO3 levels. PO4 = 0.03ppm. NO3 10-20ppm
    9. What are your actual Ca, Alk and Mg levels. 425, 11.5,1250
    10. What filtration method do you use (refugium, DSB, Miracle Mud, etc.). DSB and a algea refugium .
    11. Type of light (Watt, color temp, how old, etc.) 2x 250W XM 10K and a 150W 50K.
    12. What corals do you keep. SPS and LPS.
    13. Tissue color (light or dark). Dark but some bright new growth
    14. How long has the tank been running. 8 months in current tank.
    15. Why do you want to use the ZEOvit system. Color of corals and N03 levels.
    16. Any supplemental dosing (type, amount, why, etc.)None
    17. Live rock (how much, how old, etc.).70-80 KG all 2 years old+
    18. Any present problems. Just color of corals.
    19. Problem description (tissue loss tips, tissue loss base, diatom bloom, algae, etc.). None, Tank very stable might have high stock level.
    20. What test kit do you use (how old, recently switched, etc.). Salfiet.
    21. Present dosing, amounts and intervals (ZEOvit, ZEObak, ZEOfood, ZEOstart, ZEOspur2, etc.)Starting today...
    22. Other water parameters and water stability (salinity, temp, etc.) 1.026 and 78F ish. Very stable.

    Thanks

    Rich B.
