  • using crystal seas salt, should i switch before starting zeo?

i've been using crystal seas salt since i started tank almost 3 years ago. i haven't heard many positive things about this salt, and since i have suffered several sps losses due to STN, w/ stable parameters, it makes me think about switching salt. does anyone here use this salt w/ success. thinking of switching to IO, like i always used before, or seachem, like many here.

Dennis, I have never used Crystal Seas myself, so I'll let others chime in. What are the parameters of your salt?

i never tested it. not sure. i just know something has caused a few sps to STN over past few years for no apparant reason. all parameters on point and stable. i haven't heard any positive feedback on this salt. i think i'm switching to seachem reef salt end of month and then will start zeo early next month.
