    Hi Guys
I have a question for you all. I picked up a Siganus Doliatus (Rabbit fish) to help control HA in my tank. He has done a great job but now I find that I have to supplement his diet. I have been using Nori (Dried seaweed used for sushi) from www.seaveg.com/whleaf.html (The toasted type). My question is what would be more nutritious for him the toasted or raw Nori (dry) or would something else be better. I also use flakes a couple times a week. At the moment this is the only fish in the tank and he's beginning to
    TIA

I've had my Foxface for about four years now and all he eats is the sheet algae (nori) from Ocean Nutrition and a variety of Flake from Ocean Nutrition. He is very fat and I have not heard any complaints.

Generally speaking, "toasting" will degrade some of the nutritional value. The vitamin, fatty acid, and protein content may all be impacted ... so I would go with the dried sheets.

My favorite "veggie" supplement for most herbivores is a live macroalgae called Gracilaria. If it's not available locally to you, you can get it here:

Thanks guys for the info I really appreciate it. I had the feeling that raw would be better than toasted and live/fresh would be best of all.
        Thanks
