Brown slime w/ bubbles :(

It appears that I am having a nasty brownish slime w/ bubbles covers rocks, coral, etc....

Any idea what this stuff is and how to get rid of it? I have been blowing it off with a baster the last two days but it just seems to come back.

Hi Jim, that's the classical excess sign of Start2 overusage. Hold Start2 for 3 days then begin again at a 50% reduction in the quantity used. Also, I'd change AAHC to every other day dosing if you're using this supplement daily. Bob

I kind of figured it was caused by overdosing something. I was messing around with dosing both AAHC and Lugos together and I think that may have something to do with it. Is there anyway to get rid of it? It sticks to everything.

What dosage/how often with the Lugols?

I only did it last week @ 5 drops twice.

Hi Jim, if you can toothbrush the slimey deposits, all the better, but it will be utilized by the reef metabolic processes with the cessation of Start2 for about a wk, along with decreasing AAHC & other zeo-supplements during this time. Bob

I was just blowing it off with a turkey baster and it seems to remove it but it just ends up floating around to another rock. I will just keep on it for now. Hope it goes away. This stuff is nasty! Looks like a snot!
