Hi, the lighting is wonderful Will this be a fish-only or a coral reef tank? Are you using a skimmer? Using ZEOvit? Thnx. Bob

It will be mixed (fish and corals).
For now I use Schuran Jetskim100 skimmer (from previous aquarium) and it will be replaced with other if needed.
I didn't think about using zeo much.

For now, I'll wait that it cycles again and then put some corals in (all of my LR is from previous tank).
After two weeks there are some algae, but nothing to worry about. Skimmer is doing great job. At 1/2 week, collection cup is about half full.

I am thinking about new skimmer. So far I have two options:
              Schuran Jetskim150 (up to 1000l aquarium) and H&S 150-F2001
(up to 850l aquarium). They cost about the same. Which one is better?

Definatly the HS. I had Schuran but they need a lot off maintenance I had a lot off trouble with the 150 model. When they are new there great but after 6 months or so te problems begin. Also the waterlevel is difficult to control in this skimmer. Its almost impossible to skim wet.
Zeo user since august 2003. Current tank: non Building a 3000 liter in wall filterfeeder tank

I have some questions about H&S 150-F2001 skimmer:
How big is the collection cup?
Is it quiet or loud? My Schuran Jetskim100 is very noisy.
Is it sensitive to water level changes in sump?
Can't find data about water and air turnover.

The H&S 150-F2001 is driven by AquaBee pump 2000/1 (38w; max height 3m; max flow 2000L/h) and has an air intake app. 350 L/h. (...shouldn't be too hard to find these...)

Hi, your reef still looks good, but I must admit you have more patience in coral placement than I would Bob

Hi, my reef look good now, but about about 2 months ago it was a disaster. Between my vacation (14 days), water temperature in aquarium raised and when I returned there was algae bloom (don't yet have AC in apartment ).
About filling it with corals, I do it at one step at the time, meaning slowly.
Now I also use DI unit, changing 20L of water per week, and progress is here.

Not really. But I'll have to do something about it, because I live in the house in top floor, directly under roof, and in summer it can get very hot in there.
