Hi Davide, thnx. for your friend's info. He will need to test Ca/Mg/Salinity & especially KH & keep them as stable as possible. A Ca Reactor will help in this regard, but it not a must, as he could use 2-part solutions for regulating Ca/Mg/KH. He needs to be sure that his product water is pure--P04's-0/Silicates-0 & TDS<5. This can easily be done with a R/O unit but even better with a R/O-DI unit. With the ZEOvit method, the parameters are like those of natural sea water: Ca>400<450/Mg>1200<1400/Kh 6-8 & very stable. KW is not recommended with ZEOvit[increases "stored"-P04's]. For his system, I recommend the following:

)place 300ml[1/3 ltr.] Carbon in a filter sock, passively in the sump, kneaded 3x's/wk & exchanged monthly.
)place 3/4 ltr zeolites in a zeo-reactor with the flow rate of 300 l/h. A little more or less is fine. Cycle the stones on & off at 3 hr. intervals, being sure the stones remain under water when the zeo-filter is "off". Handle pump the zeolites 1-2x's/day about 10 repetitions each time, when the filter is "on". Exchange the stones every 6wks.
)dose 3 drops Bak & 3 drops Food7 daily for 2wks, then 3 drops each 2x's/wk. Dose these near the zeo-filter when it's "on". Turn off the skimmer for 60min after dosing these. ZeoBak is refrigerated[as is Coral-Vitalizer]
)dose Start2 0.2ml 2x's/day near the zeo-filter when it's "on". It is not necessary to turn off the skimmer when just dosing Start2.
)Optional:dose 2 drops AAHC & 8 drops C-V daily directly into the display tank. These are beneficial energy sources for our corals in a lowering nutrient environment. Davide, ask to post questions if necessary Bob
