Just curious here:
On the other site I saw that some german reefers were dosing vodka as a carbon source to reduce PO4 and NO3. I also read that Zeo has a similar methodology i.e. start 2 is actually a carbon source or denitrifying bacteria.
Has anyone here tried to combine these two methods for: 1) increase the rate of nutrient reduction and; 2) limit the use of a relatively expensive Zeo component (start 2) and supplement its carbon contribution to nutrient reduction with a relatively inexpensive carbon source (Vodka;...Popov not Belvedere!!!)?
Thanks,
Jamie
BTW I also saw how much they hate Zeo over there when they haven't used it or even tried it!
