  • Question about CV

It's been my 19th day since I've began dosing CV and about 1 week ago, I noticed that my tank has suddenly began to build up Red Slime. Most of the red slime seems to build up on the sand bed, but it few places were there is the least amount of current.

Every other day I clean the cyano bacteria off and within 2 days it begins to build up again. Has anyone else had this expiriance since the start of Coral Vitalizer?

My levels are all in place except for nitrates which is at 30ppm. The nitrates were like that already and no red slime began to build up.

I have not begun Zeovit yet since my Phosban Reactor turned out to be too small and I have some left over chunks.

What critters can I throw in my tank to help eliminate my problem? I'm looking for inverts that will eat, but not live off of red slime.

    Thanks

I have had an red slime outbreak several years ago... I think it was because my bulbs were old.

My bulbs aren't even 5 months old yet. They are just on there 4 month mark.

My red slime isn't out of control so adding a few inverts should help out. Which ones should I buy?

I have a 4 stage RO unit that reads 0 in TDS. I'll check it out with another TDS meter. I've also noticed that Bubble Algae is growing too. Is that a sign that my phosphates went up?

Could be a sign but its not a must. I would check it with a PO4 test to see if it is the fact or not.
