Mike, give them some time. As I had a potassium problem, some corals took 3 month until they where back to normal. Can you post some pictures of the affected colonies ?

Hi, how do you know it's potassium problem? I don't seem to be able to find the test kit. What test kit are you using and what is your potassium level vs the NSW?

      Thanks

As you told there is no test kit available until now that works in saltwater. The product is dosed by some parameters which can be observed in the corals. This thread contains some useful information:

Mike has dosed potassium with K-Balance from korallenzucht and his corals are doing much better now, this is why I have refer potassium.

Glad to hear it Mike, it’s the right way to solve your problem but it is not a quick fix. 80 % of my corals looked much better after 2 – 3 weeks, 10 % after 6 and now I am on the 16 th week of dosing K-Balance and all corals are happy now. A.millepora & Montipora first took of followed by the bottle brush Acroporas and the rest. Pocilopora & Seriatopora needed a lot of time. No coral has got any STN any more. Looking forward to your pictures.

Hi Mike, I hope you enjoyed your Christmas. Some of the blue milliporas genetically have darker polyps--especially noticeable when they acclimated to our reef with good p-e. Touching them of course, causes polyp retraction allowing the mille to appear more blue Bob

The mesoscope is a wonderful doorway into a new coral world which is not seen previously. I'm still going thru the learning curve with it. Bob

Mike, were the polyps different colors when you recieved them? Not uncommon for some polyps to be brown with some sps...
