I keep two 25 gallon tubs fed from the main pump maybe 150GPH each. Their both white opaque plastic and one receives some light from a lit fuge next to it and the other is kept covered and most light is blocked by cardboard. Any sponge or squirt I find in the depths of the system I've been putting in these tubs.
Here's a couple pics of some of the things growing in them.
This one I have no idea what it is. The part on the right appears to be some sort sponge growth but that on the left looks to be trapping particulates and the shape protruding out of the tube has me wondering. I have no way to really see this without taking a picture and looking on the screen. I can't get a magnified first person look at it.

Another sponge spreading and after taking this shot I see another under the rock.

Here's a piece I removed from the main tank maybe 3 months ago. The target specimen was not the attached blue sponge but the browish-green one covering the rock. The rock was against my blue sponge and that small piece was about the size of a pin head at the time. It now about 3/8".
This is in the fuge that gets overflow light 24/7 from a tank next to it.
These two pictures are why I even got the camera out yesterday. I feed these tubs phytoplankton maybe twice a week and the last couple times I've removed the lid from the fuge I've seen these asterina looking starfish on top of this sponge.
This is in the unlit fuge.
The starfish in this shot is on the left side and appears as a white blob.
Same sponge here, different angle. I hadn't seen the brittle star living in the sponge until I looked at the pictures. There's another one living on the other side.
I'll take some more later. I've got to take like 50 shots to get 4-5 in focus. The camera has only the LCD display and not a regular view finder so focus is a real pain on close-up shots.
