  • Where to put my Purple Monster?

Hey guys after the holiday i am picking up my purple moster frag from a reefer close to me. it traces back to Tyree.

anyway where should i put it? i am thinking about putting it pretty high in the tank right under my 250w DE reef optic III pendant w/ 14k hamilton. in medium current? what do you think? at my next switch i am going to try either BLV 14ks or Pheonix 14ks

also i am getting a true echinta frag, any ideas on where to put that? i was thinking medium height in the tank and medium to strong current?

    thanks for the help guys.

Both should be bagged, shipped, and placed in my tank

Nick, I have mine way up high and its growing very fast!! Its in the middle of a 14K and 10K. High flow is what it likes. It took some time for it to start growing. Right now, i can see it grow every time I look at it.

Thanks for the lookout! I really appreciate that. Things are going ask good as ever. I did loose a few colonies, but that space has been taken up by growing corals now. Im just letting it grow out.

I actually have a purple, blue and green monsters. I have them up high, with medium current.

(I had strong current, but the current caused significant RTN to the blue monster)
