Scott/Gary now have K-Balance I've noticed here & elsewhere, that some have Monti's that are not striving, inspite of stable NSW parms, & no nukes--this zeo-supplement will restore Monti's back to their beautiful color & promotes growth. For other SPS corals[including Acroporas], I have found K-B enriches color & growth. Dose 1ml/25g net for 3 consecetive days, then dose this 2x's/wk with PIF as K-B potentiates the PIF's effect. Alternatively, one can dose K-B at 1ml/100g net daily, which is my current dosing schedule. For those with washed-out corals this schedule may need to be modified to higher dosages until coloration brightens, then settle into the lower maintenance regiment. Do a search on K-Balance for more detailed information, excess signs, etc. Bob

do u think it still necessary to add pif even if we add k-b? i have been dosing for 2 weeks now and i notice better growth on some acro "s, specially stags..i dont know why..

Hi Mike, I've been using K-B for 2 months & have also noticed increased growth beyond C-V's effect on growth[using C-V 4mos] PIF improves coral color, especially blues, violents, yellow's & green's in our corals. PIF is not a must if your coral color is strong, although lower than guideline recommendations will benefit your coral's general health. Mike, use PIF in 1/2 dosing guidelines for a month & report your impressions. Thnx. Bob

This is the small order not the large shipment we are waiting to clear customs, so we have a VERY limited of 250ml only, until this shipment arrives. I will add them to the site as soon as I get them out to the dealers first. We only have a total of 20, so I will get the dealers out theirs first, then I will add the rest to the site.

Don't fret, if you do not get in on this one, it should only be a couple more weeks until the large order arrives, then plenty for everyone

price on the K-Balance is $39.99 for 250ml. Until the larger arrive then we will have 250ml, 500ml, and 1000ml. Remember a little goes a long ways .

Re potassium dosing.

A friend of mine had his water tested for potassium.
It tested as 385ppm. He added potassium chloride which toke it up to 440ppm
Is adding potassium really necessary?? As you would replace it when you do a water change, what levels should the pottasium be at??

If the used synthetic salt mix contains enough potassium, the observed effect in dosing this element separate would be much weaker, but we know not all salt mixes contain enough potassium to reach NSW levels which is around 380 mg.

What kind of test kit your friend has used ?
