  • Non ZEO Dosing Regimen

    Fellow ZEO heads-

I finaly got my 300 up o nthe ZEO system and am on day 2 of dosing the basic 4.

I have an SPS prop system, that I would some dosing advice on.
    1. 275g gross
    2. 245g-250g net
    3. Are you using a CaCO2. No, B-Ionic (20ml of alk, 35ml cal daily)
    4. Are you using a PO4 reactor. Yes, Phosban, runs for 1 hr each day. Been running for a couple days. PO4 before adding it was .16.
    5. Are you using Ozone. No, but I have one to add if it would be beneficial.
    6. Are you using UV. No, but again I can add one at any time.
    7. What skimmer are you using. ASM G3
    8. What are your actual PO4 and NO3 levels. PO4 is currently .03, NO3 undetectable.
    9. What are your actual Ca, Alk and Mg levels. 420 Ca, 8 Alk, 1235Mg (all are stable)
    10. What filtration method do you use. Chaeto packed refugium, 1" sandbed for buffering.
    11. Type of light. One tank has two 175w halides running 20k. Other tank has two 250w halides runing 15k. Bulbs are 3 months old.
    12. What corals do you keep. 90% SPS, 10% LPS. The LPS will be moved out in a month or so to a new setup.
    13. Tissue color Some are "light", others are very colorful.
    14. How long has the tank been running. 8 months
    15. Why do you want to use the ZEOvit system. Add color
    16. Any supplemental dosing. 20ml B-Ionic Alk, 35ml B-Ionic Cal, 3 drops HCAA, 3 drops Lugols, 6 drops C-V. All are daily
    17. Live rock. Aboput 30 pounds in sump...small pieces used for prop
    18. Any present problems...none.
    20. Salifert, Aquarium Pharm., Hanna colorimeter. All are new or well within date range.
    21. Present dosing, amounts and intervals (ZEOvit, ZEObak, ZEOfood, ZEOstart, ZEOspur2, etc.)
    22. Other water parameters and water stability. pH 8.15-8.3 daily swing, salinity 1.026, temp 78 (stable) I do 10% weekly water changes.

I have a lot of B-Ionic, so I'm going to use it up before adding a CR. Now trhat my PO4 is getting lower, I want to make sure that I'm getting the nutrition to the corals in the new low nutrient environment. I'm currently dosing AAHC (3 drops) and C-V (6 drops) and AACLPS at .5ml 2x's/day. Running the Phosban reactor 1hr per day is keepingthe phosphate stable at .03. I'll keep it there for a week andt hen run it an additional 15 min each week until it reads .00 on my hanna.

Other than what I am currentrly doing, does anyone see what I could do differently to add color?
