I received my zeovit reactor on monday "grotech"with all the media. It came with the pump "eheim 1250". I am running 2 liters. How much of a flow do i need and how do i control the flow on that pump. The pump mounted direct into the reactor. How much is the flow on the eheim 1250? What can i do to control it.

Hi ReefRookie, the recommended flow rate for the zeo-reactor is 100gph/ltr. zeolite used. One uses 1 ltr. zeolites for each 100g net water volume. If you are using 2ltrs. zeolites then your net water vol. should ~200g & the flow rate through the zeo-filter is ~200gph. Place a ball-valve on your zeo-filter pump to regulate the flow to ~200gph into your reactor. This can be measured by recording the time it takes to fill a 1 gal. container from the GroTech side spout which for 200gph is 18 sec. Bob

Thank you for the information. I thought there is some source of regulator somewhere in the reactor. Cuz the pump is mounted direct into the reactor.
