hi guys i'm using a hanna po4 fotometro.
i think that the instrument give me too many different result
i did 8test in the tank today using 2 cuvet
    the first cuvet i obtein:0,23-0,01-0,03-0,13-0,00-0,02-0,07-0,12
    second:0,03-0,02-0,12-0,01-0.05-0,04-0.00-0.01
with merk test i always obtain 0,024.
i clean very well all cuvet every time whith rowater-and a cleaning solution
    now i think.
for every test i did i clean cuvet and redo zero
hanna po4 is accurate for you?
reading other post using search i notice that for many people it's accurate
    i think no

    hi and tnx alex

Hi Alex, when I use my Hanna, I'm careful to emptying all the packaged reagent, & I gently shake the reagent powder in the curvette until it is completely dissolved[2-3min]. Bob

Alex, mine has been very accurate for me.. I have done back to back tests many times and almost always the same #.. I usually get .02 these days so do not do multiple tests... If you can use a paper towel to hold the covet and clean the outside very well also...

Pulire con carta io uso la scottex, prima di fare lo zero e dopo che hai sciolto i reagenti, prima di effettuare il conteggio dei tre minuti.

I also get constant readings +/- 0,01. I use the photometer since 5 years now. If it is for sure, the curvet is cleaned very well (inside and outside) & the chemicals are dissolved completely and the meter still shows those differences, I would send it to Hanna (photometer & chemicals) for a check.

Alex, not to sound stupid but you are zeroing the unit before the tests correct? Putting tank water into the covet and then placing it in the hole and hitting the zero botton then adding the reagent and shaking for 2-3 min? Then I always push direct read then go for timed read right after that.

Hi Alex, the Hanna colorimeter has a test result variation[noise] of .04 that's just a fact. With the results that you have obtained, the median average is ~.04. If one's waters are Hanna undetectable, the read-out will be consistently .00. Bob

Excellent reminder, Jeff, as I've didn't use tank water but RODI water to zero initially Bob
