Noticing more and more threads about pests.
In our tanks without predators, the pests simply build up as long as there is a food supply, until they kill whatever it is they are eating. But in the wild, this does not happen because they all have some kind of natural control.
So, thought I'd start this as a kind of pest predator knowledge sharing thread, so anyone who knows of something that eats some kind of pest, could contribute and help the rest of us. The ideal pest controller is one that can eat other things also, so that once all the pests are gone it can still survive, to help out another day should more pests be introduced.
Just to get the ball rolling I can say that 6 line wrasse eat red flatworms, because I've seen mine do it. They will not control a bad infestation because there are too many flatworms and the wrasse get's tired of them, but they will control or eradicate a small number.
