Starting PotassiumIodide Fluoride and Iron Concentrate tonight. I will follow Bobs recomendations for dosing these. KI Fl at 1-2drops/50g & Fe at
1drop/100g. Can't wait to see the results from these. Still getting ready for the big dog, ZEOspur2..

Bob, after looking at captive oceans and getting the bottles in hand the dosing is different.. CO says for Iron 1 drop per 25 gallons daily... I think you are saying 1 drop per 100 gallons daily correct? The bottle says 1ml per 50 gallons weekly. The KI Fl says 1 drop per 25 gallons daily.. Thats what your recomendation was also.. So for Iron what do I need to dose?

Hi Jeff, the supplements will help you with defining coral coloration. You have the ratios correct--these can easily be overshot, so your dosages are safe. Remember those doses are for once or twice/wk. I dose mine on Wednes. & Sat. I do not recommend daily dosing of PIF or Fe. Bob

Ok Bob.. I will do KI Fl at 1 drop per 25 gallons bi weekly and Fe at 1 drop per 50-100 gallons or 1ml bi weekly?

Jeff, PIF--1-2drops/25g once or twice a wk; Fe--1-2 drops/100g, once or twice a wk. If yellow SPS becomes lime-colored or shiny-green, or blue corals darken, reduce both quantities & frequncies. Bob

i use the flour and i was dosing daily 3 drops for my 125g and it was way tooo much i have alot of green alage growing now i stoped for 3 days now and its startin to die off bob is correct with that doisng pattern HTH

As for dosing the PIF into our systems.I know this is about Zeovit products.But I used to use Potassium Iodide from ESV a long time ago.And I always would pull the carbon out of my system for and hour or so.I know the Zeovit products are strong stuff.But isn't it true between the corals and the carbon we run,it's pulled out of the system very fast?At least it gives the corals time to absorb it.I still use the method today,as pulling the carbon out.But how long does the PFI and the FI really stay in our water column,and that's including what the skimmer is pulling out?I can understand corals,can only take in so much,and the rest is used up threw out the system.But can this help at all,or does it even matter?

Hi Curt, the iodine in PIF is a different form/action from ESV's or that matter Kent's, etc.Many other brands of Iodine will darken our corals. Also remember, with Flouride, a potent halide, one does not want these elements to exist in a too high concentration in our aquaria, therefore, leave the carbon in the system after dosing PIF to prevent excesses.
