Yes I used it prior to C-V. It does have an effect, not as pronounced as C-V though. It is a little hard to use as you have to break the capsule then use the lot, a capsule contains enough for many doses for my 75 g system.
It's got a lot in it as it turns the water milky, you feed evening it is cleared up by next day.
