  • Be careful with your Tunze Streams

Even though they are designed to spread out the flow, they can still cause problems with corals in the direct path of the flow.

This morning I realized that some of my corals that have tissue loss were being blasted with direct flow from one of my streams. I adjusted the aim, and, hopefully, solved the problem.

Yeah, My general guideline is not to have any corals within 1 feet directly in front of the stream output.

Tom, have you ever tried to remove the suction housing completely ?

This creates a very soft stream, but it could become dangerous to the fish if they try to nip at the propeller :chainsaw:

I have also heard of ppl replacing the screen of the 6100 with the screen of the 6200. It gives a wider more dispersed flow.

          Alexander,

no, but I have thought of getting the 6200 covers with wider openings. They should spread out the flow more.

I changed out the cover on my 6100 with the 6200 one and it does spread the flow out quite a bit.

                Hello,
I to am wondering if I can replace the cover on my 6080 for a cover off of a 6200?
Hey Dustin, where did you order the covers from? Thanks, Dan.
