  • Does pure actinic lighting cause increased in rate of Calcification

Yesterday night, I forgot to turn off the pure actinic lighting in my reef and this morning I saw the pH in my main tank is much lower.

I suspect the kH in my tank has dropped causing the pH in the tank to drop too.

    What do you think?

I will do more test to verify but for now like to hear your views and opinion.

you mean that you run your tank lights from 6am til noon? what about the rest of the day? how many hours of darkness does your tank get? the attached thumbnail is a reading from your tank correct?

The chart's time zone is different from the time zone in my country. I run my tank's MH from 12 noon to 6pm.

My tank get abt 15hrs of darkness daily.
