Australomussa Rowleyensis

Does anyone own a species of this type? I saw two nice ones on ReeferMadness and was wondering what someone should expect in an aquarium. The blue one looks nice and would fluoresce well! Suppose to be rare?

I have been hunting that coral down for a long time, however I am not in agreeance (is this even a word? =)) with RM's identity. I don't think that they are Australomussa Rowleyensis. Here are shots from verns of this coral:






And one from the net:




If you look at verns pics, its clearly a different coral.

Scolymia vitiensis, not saying this is what it is, but looks much more similar!



All that being said, I did almost buy all three last night =), I wasn't sure what they were hehe.

Its one of a kind! I was thinking of getting it too since I dont ever see that coral color anywhere.

I spoke with Chris a lil bit ago-- These things are like 6-7".

I think the red one already has a new home.

They are pretty cool looking. I wonder if they have to be viewed from top-down to enjoy the beauty.
