Orange film???

As some of you know I have the new 180 up and running. Everything has looked great in the tank so far but when I came home tonight I gound a orange film / algae over portions of my rock. This was not there last night. Is it possible that overdosing bac, food, AAHC will cause this?

1.0ml Start 2 1x daily
2 drops Bac 2 drops every other day
2 drops food 1x daily
Pump stones 2x daily

180G Display w/ 55g sump

I would cut the food down to 2 drops every other day as well... Jim only go every other day for 2 weeks also then 2x weekly bac and food...

Jim, also try decreasing start2 by 50%...

Hi Jim, Jeff is on target here The film you've mentioned is a sign of Start2 excess, although usually neon-green, the orange coloration is a also seen in the reduced state of Start2 over-abundance. Bob
