  • running wires

Right now, under my stand (open 2x4 frame) I have a mess of wires just hanging all over the place. This is not only dangerous, it really annoys me. I haven't done anything with it yet because I haven't been able to come up with a good idea on how to cleanly run them while still allowing me to remove a wire with out undoing all of the work.

One thought I had but didn't really like was to cut sections of 2" pvc and removing 1/4 and screwing them to the under side of the stand. This just seems ghetto to me which is why I haven't done it yet.

Anyone have anything better? Pictures would really help!

the zip tie type? Any of the ones I have seen once you tighten them down, you have to cut them to get the wire out. Or are you talking about something else?

I buy this stuff at the auto swaps I sell at.It even comes in BK red. It's slit so you can just wrap it around the wires. Deciding the size you need can be tricky and I'd suggest you get it a size up from what you think you'll need.

Pic from this link but many auto parts stores also carry it.

I was trying to avoid that stuff. It's a pita to actually get a wire out if need for say cleaning a pump...

Talon Pipe Clamps ... the "coffee mug hanger" of the plumbing world ... are a similar option.

That looks like it might do exactly what I need to do. Home Depot should carry something like this right?

                  Thanks !
