Do you own a A. Palmetta?

This has got to be one of the coolest looking corals ever. Does anyone own anything like it? Or seen it around? I would love to get my hands on it. Would definitely make it a centerpiece in my new tank.

I just love these corals. Not sure if they are the same species or not but this one was about 4' tall. There are some big ones in the Keys. This year there was one that was probably a good 5' across lying on the bottom upside down. Its such a shame.

I know of a few that have them, but as Steve said they are illegal to collect. I lvoe how thick they are!

I guess I know now that in my lifetime, we would never be able to collect this type of species.

They are taking a beating here in Florida.They are found in the top of the reef crest of a reef.I really don't think nobody's has the real one.Eric Boreman was looking into this coral a few years ago A guy in the islands had one that really look like the real one.Eric didn't really say if he,had the real one.Because they were supposed to hook up.At that time Eric said they don't make it in our systems.And he was wondering how he even kept it.Never heard the out come of that.We just can't provide the wave action that they get on the reefs.If anyone does have it's Bomber,there on RC.I don't think he even keeps it.Which he could get a permit to do so.It's just a looker,but don't touch !
