Spur, Spur, Spur....

OK, I did my first Spur dosing yesterday. It doesn't appear to have done anything. Maaaaaaaaybe just a bit lighter on a coral, but not the dramatic "glowing" effect everyone says they see.

I dosed 1.5ml on my approx. 200gal system.

I know that amount is on the low end, but I followed Bob's advice, since I didn't want to lose anything. Now I know that 1.5ml was too little, when can I try my next dose? Should I wait a week, then go for 2.0ml?

if you did not see any changes after 48hrs of your 1.5ml spur2 dose..
then 7 days later u may dose 2ml and after that u will have to wait for 14 days later before u can dose spur2 again..

Yes after 48 hrs as Kiego said and you do not see any changes you can dose again in 7 days.. After that its 14 days... I have 200 net and I am dosing 6ml now.. 7ml I did once but it was pretty heavy dose and really lightened some of the corals up to much for me.. Some looked even better but overall I felt it was a little to high of dose. Also high doses seem to effect tip coloration for a few days.. I would take this product slow as Bob has suggested.. I would not see a problem though of dosing 3ml if you saw hardly anything. Rem full effects are not seen for 48 hrs after the dose.. If 3ml doesn't do anything make small adj every 2 weeks until you find your target zone.. I have also found that at the end of a zeolith cycle when the stones are exhausted, it might take a little extra spur2 for the effects to be seen at the same dosages with new stones...

Personally I would wait for at least 2 - 3 weeks before dosing again at a higher ml. I have to dose about 7ml in my 250G reef before I can see very obvious 'glowing' etc etc, so 1.5ml for a 200G is pretty low end. Again IMHO, I would wait 2 - 3 weeks then dose 2ml or so and slowly ramp up the dosages until you see the effect that you want. You can try 3ml in a 200g (dats a pretty safe dosage)..

I dose Spur2 once every 2 months or so just to give it the extra kick

OK, so just this initial dose I should wait 7 days before trying a larger dose...then dose every 14-21 days as needed...right?

Well I personally only waited one week before my first and second treatment after not seeing results with the low dosage. No problems here. Then after that def wait a minimum 14 days between doses. After the second treatment you can decide if you want to increase by .5ml or 1ml depending on the results you get after the second dose. Always seems the best results will be had by taking this system slow to let your corals acclimate.
