  • Considering Zeovit

I'm considering Zeovit but am also considering the cost. The reactors are a easy DIY. Around how long would the products last if I purchased all small sizes for about 150g net water.

    Thank you
    Don

it cost a bit when you first start off (got to buy all in one go)but once you reach stage 2 or 3 the cost is really not much at all. i used to spend so much more on other stuff like additives and filter material (you name it i most likely used it)all in the hope of getting my phos and nitrates down. i guess it also depends a little bit on your system. i agree that the inital cost seems a lot but it will get better.

For my 250 net gallons, the bak lasted 8 months, I am still on my first bottle of food, and just finished my first bottle of Start. HTH
265 gallon SPS tank. Bubble King 300 Internal, MRC CR-6 Calc Reactor. 3 400 watt 20k Helios. 90 gallon Frag tank plumbed into main display.

how big was your bottle of bac? i normally get 10 ml which last around 3-5 weeks in a 260 gal tank system.

I have used 3 bottels of bak 10ml and working on my 4th in about 13 months for my 75. All others are original from my first purchase. The initial cost can sting just a bit but once you have done that its no biggie. No worse than buying a few nice corals. The return is well worth it.

Thanks for the quick replies. Sounds like not much more than I'm spending on ROWA now.

            Thank you

Thats what I was going to post earlier but had to get something done at my desk.. I was going to say if you are running Rowa and dripping kalk those are things you will not have to spend money on any longer. Overall it will be a bit more at start up but after that the cost is not bad at all... If you have any other questions feel free to ask.. I would make a list of all you need and the sizes you wanted and have a dealer qoute it for you. I see you are in WA so Eric at www.Fragfarmer.com might be a good contact for you on your zeo supps... Good Luck.

Yeah, the highest cost of the system is the reactor but if you are good with your hands, you can easily DIY to save on the start-up cost. I suck bigtime when it comes to DIY so have to purchase it
