I dose b-ionic for my calc. and alk. because I do not have room for a calcium reactor. My calc. and alk. used to always be fine. Calc was around 420 and alk. around 8. But all of a sudden about a month ago the levels started dropping together. Everything remained the same in my tank, I still used the same salt, and dosed the same levels of calc. and alk. and that is why I can't figure out what is going on. The calc. is dosed by hand everyday and I have the alk. being dosed into the tank 24 hours a day by a dosing pump (the alk is diluted). Over the month time period it continously dropped until when I checked yesterday alk. was at 5.4 and calc. couldn't even be read it was so low. Magnesium is around 1380. Is this just because my corals are demanding more calc. and alk. or could something else be going on?
P.S. My corals still appear to be growing
