  • How much ZEo to use ?

OK I will need some help here with suggestions:

I am planing on purchasing my reactor in hte next three weeks for the media.

The tank gross volume is 270 gallon
The sump gross volume is 112.2 gallons

Total gross gallons is 382.2 gallons

I am using 5 pieces of Reef Ceramics for the back wall facade, the 11" large outcropping, 3 pillars, and a cave piece and no other live rock in the tank. The botom will have maybe 1/16 inch of aragoniye siliconed to it. Other wise its open water.

If I am reading correct I will need a reactor that holds nearly 4L of media. But I often times have been guilty of misinterpretation or missing the fine points so I am asking for some better direction from the people who know

I want the reactor first so I can see how all the hardeware will need to be plumbed in. My skimmer is external so the only hardware in my sump will be the Zeoreactor

4 liter holding capacity is what you need.. I would PM OUinLA on here and let him know what you are looking for.. His name is Madison and hes a great guy to deal with.. He will make you a reactor for your system..

    Peace, Jeff

i would think once you take the rock into consideration, and the sump isnt going to hold a full 112 gallons you should be fine with a 3 liter in-sump model, like Jeff said contact Madison and he can hook you up

I would guess you are going to have approx 300 gallons of total water.

Welcome to zeovit.com as well.. look forward to watch your tank grow.

        regards,

          Thanks Scott.

I want to get all the equipment purchased now so I can do all the plumbing at one time and then FW test everything.

My father in law is still coming down even with the gas prices to help me complete framing this weekend. I hope to have some cool pictures for you guys with the tank on the stand and the soffit built above it as well.

I am going to take next weekend to wire and insulate and thne get teh green board delivered with all the joint compund and tape.

My best guess is I might be done with everything by Halloween. If I can get a few long weekends from Work I will get this done quicker

I have a wagner power sprayer to paint the walls with LOL and I am having teh carpet done by a professional. So Halloween is a safe bet.
