Alessandro, testing since month. I really like it and my impression is it is a good tool for a nutrient poor system.

Positive effects I have observed: coloration, growth, polyp expansion and general health.

No overdosing signs by excessive dosing.

I've renamed it "BOB's coralfood". Fellas, this stuff is a must for nutrient-poor tanks. My Hanna's have read .00 3wks. in a row & with this coral-vitalizer, coral color & p-e absolutely "pops". As Alexander said, it is unbelieveable for coral color, growth tips & p-e. This stuff is the missing-link that Phase III users have been looking for Bob

I'm becoming confused about the objective for a system in Zeovit phase 3. When I received my Hanna meter and measured my phosphates at 0.01ppm, I thought I was at the low end (nutrient poor) of the recommended 0.01 to 0.03 phosphate range. As such, I believed that my system may be too nutrient poor for optimal coral health. Now I see Bob's note with a phosphate reading of 0.00 and outstanding coral coloration and growth. So now I'm wondering whether I should be continuing to reduce the nutrient load in my system to achieve a 0.00 phosphate reading or "relaxing" my nutrient levels until my phosphates are in the 0.02/0.03 range???

I realize this may be an oversimplification, but I want to make sure I'm properly managing my tank's nutrient levels for optimal coral health.

Pikeman, you do not need to lower nutrients anymore. I shoot for .02. IMO, anything .04 and lower is ideal for keeping away algae and good coral health/coloration.

Pikeman, since some have optimized their systems to allow no accumulation of PO4, for example adding really oversized skimmers, it is a good thing to provide additional food to the corals. Once reached a Hanna PO4 0,00 mg reading it is not easy to rise PO4 if the tank is balanced in import and export of nutrients. Keeping PO4 in such low levels is not a result of overdosing, it has to do with a optimized biological balance. To provide the corals additional substances, which they normally get by plankton in the wild, was the idea of the food to help and support them in such low nutrient tank. However, these tanks are one step further than phase 3 which is described in the guide.

Allowing the accumulation of nutrients in such a situation by overfeeding fish, reduce the skimmer or stop dosing will not show the same effect like the food. This is what I have observed.

The food is not a nutrient solution and while dosing, you will not be able to notice rising nutrient levels.

Seareef, the product is already available in Europe since two or three weeks and as much as I know after MACNA in the States.
