Questions about Hanna phospate reading

I got my meter this evening. I did 2 tests and got .01 and .02. I'm now officially in phase 3.

What is the preferred range? From recent, posts I gather that running too low can cause problems. IIRC, Bob said he runs between .03 and .05. I'm thinking of holding start2 for a little bit, to bring it up.

right now i have 0,05 .but alexander recomended to keep at 0.04.

True. When I got my Hanna I found I've been running Po4 to low. Have allowed it to rise and am now getting noticeably better growth. PE is better also although that may have to do with the removal of two polyp nipping gobies.
Now I've got the Hanna, I would not want to go back.

Mike I had my best growth an coloration with a Hanna reading around 0,02 – 0,03 but everybody remember this measuring instrument has also tolerances. Do not leave your corals out of the focus.

What I like to add. As long as you have good coloration and growth, I would not recommend to rise the PO4 level in any way.

yup i remember bob mention that keeping p04 at 0.01~3 is a better option and sps are in their real color when in this range but once u hit 0.04~5 the sps will give a dull color.

Yes, Keigo, I've found .01-.03 Hanna to be fine with heavier dosages of AAHC & the other zeo-supplements to bring out color & still maintain growth & no nusance algae. Until nutrients are very low, higher supplemental dosages will result in feathery slime formation on the rocks & brownish accumulates on the panes Bob

bob, should i continiue to dose the same amount of start2 or increase a bit?

Hi Mike, sure, you can increase Start2 for one wk, then recheck the Hanna--isn't this a new system? If so, the readings may stay up for awhile inspite of increasing Start2. Bob

yes, bob...i have running this system for 28 days exact.
i am dosing 23 ml per week ,4 dosing per day..should i try 30 ml per week?
