  • Acro crabs versus red bugs

I'm looking for feedback from people to try to establish if acro crabs would offer protection against red bugs by eating them.
I'm not talking about the harmful crabs, just the white ones with a line across the front from one eye to the other.
Mainly wondering if people who had red bugs also had these acro crabs, or did not have the crabs. And if red bug infestation was confined to areas that did not have a crab.
Also, I guess it would be interesting to get similar feedback in regard to acro eating flatworms, and nudis.
I don't know if there will be enough statistics to draw any firm conclusions but the results may be interesting anyhow.

I've had both crabs and bugs so I'd vote that my crabs don't eat bugs.

actually, I notice the sps with baby size acro crab (less than 5mm) don't get infested.
I got 2 colony with baby acro crab, and they both seem to be free of red bug.

No, most people think this crab is safe. Other different kinds of crabs are harmful.

I think only the blue-eyed buggers are harmful. I actually watch 1 of them plucked corallites clean off the acro.

And the little hairy brown ones also, they destroy sps tissue.
