  • ZEOlith Question

    Hey All,

Was getting ready to setup our new 220 - soaked the ZEOliths overnight but before we go further with t his tank setup we have decided to move to a new place...before the fish/corals get in the tank.

Anyhow my question is I have had the 2 liters of ZEOliths soaking in RO/DI fresh water for the last 2-3 days. The tank will not be moved for another month or so and we are going to start ZEO at that time. Should I dry out these ZEOliths since they were never used? Or should I leave them in the water until I use them?

    Thanks!

Just dry them out and re-bag until needed.

They should be ok. Whatever liquid you put them in will only start the activation process of ionic exchange in that volume of water you placed it in. If you put new water, it will start again until it cleans it out.
