  • Hanna Phosphate colorimeter question

Well I've got my Hanna phosphate colorimeter, but conflicting information on the interpretatation. There is no reefing info with the colorometer but I did a web search in one page it says reef tank water should be below 0.015, but the Seachem kit manual says phosphate should be between 0.1 and 0.3, big difference, which is correct. Is there a difference between ppm and Meg/L?
After doing a bunch of tests, they nearly all came out at 0.02. Just one yesterday came out at 0.08, but the water had been in a jar and may have been contaminated.

Hi Alastair, aah, Christmas in July, congratulations: Mine usually runs between .01-.03. Above .05, my SPS begin to darken. Alastair, try using the search mode here for some excellent threads on the Hanna photometer. Bob

Thanks. Yes Christmas, My kids were going to bring one over from the US at christmas, however it turns out Alois had a second hand one so I've bought that.
Ok well at 0.02 mine must be just about right, although I've laid off start and fed heavily to bring it up over the last couple of weeks.
