Personaly I think they are more suited to a tank with sand, the theory being they will take care of unwanted food laying around, and convert it to "poop".
In a BB, with good flow, this type of waste will not be an issue, so the star not needed from a cleaning point of view. Nothing wrong with them as an interesting addition though.
I recently discovered a smallish black one in my own BB.

Good links. I guess if some waste gets caught in the rock they may be a useful addition

yes they r good to have.. cause from what i know be it the waste get caught in the rock or not.. the live rock itself will still continue to produce out waste even you put it in a boiling container for months...

so those star r really gd to have and help control those waste before the waste get too much and slowly leak back to the water...thus keep having high p04..

Keigo, there are so many different brittle stars that all look so similar, recommending is almost useless because when you order them it's practically impossible to get a specific species.

Go with the dark spiney ones though and avoid the smooth green ones, I have 30 stars that look like this and they're great:

It is unbelievable what spots they are able to work themselves into, they really clean out ever nook and cranny in your liverock. IMO they are the best cleanup crew possible with absolutely no drawbacks!

They are great fun too, when you feed the tank all their tentacles come out of the rocks trying to catch food that floats by
